The only way to survive in this climate is to seek out water holes and wallow in them. So today we are at Bitter Springs. I didn’t taste the water but there was a smell of rotten eggs about. Despite that, it was a very relaxing way of spending a hot afternoon. You jump in the water at one end and just let the current take you along. You then get out, walk back and repeat. The water was incredibly clear and there were a lot of interesting plants in the water that we could see with our masks on. There didn’t seem to be any fish to see – maybe frightened off by the number of children here on their Easter hols.
