Kakadu National Park is a very large area which we’ll explore over the next few days. The park also has world heritage status partly for the indigenous culture which survives here and is thought to be one of the oldest living societies on earth.
We thought the southern part of the park which we travelled through first was rather tame. We camped at Gungurl and did a walk down to the South Alligator river and up to a view point.
